Broken Capillaries

Diathermy for broken capillaries (also known as spider veins or telangiectasia) is a fast, highly precise, and effective treatment. It uses a fine, sterile needle to deliver a short-wave high-frequency electrical current, which heats, clots, and seals the targeted blood vessel. Once cauterized, the capillary dies, and the waste is naturally reabsorbed by the body or sloughs away.

 

This an ideal treatment for the finer capillaries found around noses, cheeks and chin. Capillaries can be slightly darker in colour post treatment and this could last for up to 1-2 weeks. It is important to keep the area clean after treatment and not scratch or pick at the treated capillaries.
